Dawco Builders, LLC was founded by its President, Walter O. Lujan, who has the following qualifications: B.S. Electrical Engineering, Certified Green Professional by the National Association of Home Builders, Energy Auditor under the U.S. Department of Energy Weatherization Program, Energy Star Builder, EPA Certified Renovator, and Partner in the Department of Energy Builders Challenge Program. In addition to a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, he has been trained internationally and has worked in Japan, Italy, and Mexico. Furthermore, he was trained as a Black Belt in the Six Sigma Quality initiative by General Electric. During his engineering career, Mr. Lujan published several scientific papers in the USA and in Europe. Moreover, his technical work has served as the base of at least one European patent, and he has worked as a consultant to companies such as General Motors, Siemens, Eleketrisola, Philips, etc.

   Incorporated in August of 2001, Dawco Builders, LLC was founded on the idea that measurable quality would be the fundamental element of its success. More specifically, Mr. Lujan is pioneering a new approach to construction, which enhances the conventional building processes by applying Building Science, Green, and Energy Efficiency principles in addition to the Six Sigma Methodologies to construction. As an Energy Star Builder, Dawco strongly believes that the fusion and application of garnered knowledge, innovative techniques, and the latest materials will produce beautiful structures that are more functional and efficient.
